The plot revolves around the life of Wladyslaw Szpilman, one of the best Polish pianists. Before the Second World War Szpilman lived a happy life and was totally immersed in the art. However, with the advent of the Nazis, he, like all the Polish Jews, was with his family sent to the Warsaw ghetto, where they are subjected to abuse and humiliation. When the ghetto inmates begin to be sent to a concentration camp to die, Spielmann using other escapes. For some time he worked on a construction site, and tries in every way to find a way to escape from Nazi persecution. And once Vladislav big luck: woman infatuated with the talent of the great musician, helped him to hide in one of the apartments, not far from the ghetto. Time inevitably runs, and Spielmann did not lose hope that sooner or later the Nazis were defeated in the war, and he was finally able to find freedom.
