Alone with him, on the shore of an underground lake, Bilbo will discover his cunning and courage, qualities hitherto unknown to him; he will also get the most precious possession by Gollum, a gold ring that has unexpected and useful qualities.
A simple gold ring to which the destiny of Middle-earth is linked in a way that Bilbo will soon begin to discover.
